The Curvature Signature

The shape of your inner space, defined by how it curves and connects. Your traits set the curvature, your bonds decide whether the surface is whole or punctured, and your drives keep its fabric intact. Play with it, then read how it works.

Build a person

Pick a sample or move the dials. BIS/BAS is the charge (gold approach, teal threat).

The idea

You are a curved surface

In topology, what matters about a shape is not its size but how it curves and what holes it has. Two forms count as the same only if one can be smoothly bent into the other without tearing. Read your inner life that way and personality becomes a manifold, a continuous surface with its own curvature and its own connectedness. The contours map where it bulges and dips, and the holes record where the surface has been torn or never closed. Character is the topology that survives the bending.

Honest from the start. This is a visual metaphor for how the frameworks layer, not a claim that personality is a literal geometric surface. The scores are validated; the way they are combined is designed and calibrated, not yet validated. A psychologist signs off before any public personality claim.

How each outcome is drawn

Five frameworks, one curved surface

HEXACO
The curvature profile of the surface. Each of the six factors lifts or flattens the contour in its own direction, so the blob of nested lines is the relief map of your traits.
BIS / BAS
The charge colour of the fabric. Gold when approach (BAS) leads, teal when threat (BIS) leads. Approach warms the whole field, threat cools it.
Attachment
The connectedness of the surface. Secure is closed, nested contours with no break. Anxiety crumples them into many tight folds. Avoidance punches a hole, a puncture where the surface no longer closes.
Schwartz values
The handles added to the surface, little loops bridging the contours at the angle of each leading value, the way a handle changes a shape's topology.
SDT needs
The integrity of the surface, how smooth and whole the fabric is. Met needs render it bright and continuous; frustrated needs leave it faint and breaking up.
How it is built

From scores to a surface

  1. The six HEXACO scores set the curvature, raising and lowering nested contour lines around their angles.
  2. Net drive (BAS minus BIS) sets the charge colour that tints the whole fabric.
  3. Attachment changes the connectedness: closed contours, tight folds, or a puncture that opens a hole.
  4. The strongest values add handles at their angles; the three needs set the surface's smoothness and integrity.
  5. Same scores always trace the same surface, so the signature is deterministic.
Honesty and limits

What this is, and is not

A metaphor for how the layers combine, not biology and not a clinical tool. Results are tendencies, not limits. The exact link strengths are calibrated from the literature and need a validation pilot and a psychologist's sign-off before any public claim. The shareable image should be drawn from bands, not exact scores.
