The signature is generative, deterministic, and made of nested layers. The same answers always make the same mark. Each layer maps to exactly one measured construct. That is the honesty rule: nothing on the mark is decorative, everything visible means something. The free mark is a clean medallion. By the end of the paid quiz it carries deeper parts tied together into one living body, and in Phase 2 that finished parameter set becomes the DNA used to grow your avatar.
One honesty flag. The HEXACO core is real, peer-reviewed psychometrics. The relational rules that grow it, which factor each part attaches to and the correlations that draw the connective membranes, are designed, not yet validated. A psychologist signs off before any public personality claim. The mark is framed as self-understanding, not a clinical, diagnostic, or hiring tool.
The free tier is the core. Each paid lens adds a genuinely different validated construct, chosen so it adds a new dimension rather than repeating the traits. In this lead model each lens grows as a distinct organic part fused to the core.

Attachment (ECR), two scores, anxiety and avoidance. How you hold closeness and distance. Grows as an embrace, fused at Emotionality.
Reinforcement Sensitivity (BIS / BAS), the approach drive toward reward and the inhibition brake. Same shape, different engine. Grows as a flame, fused at Extraversion.
Schwartz Values, the circumplex of human values (adjacent values compatible, opposite ones in tension). Grows as a bloom, fused at Openness.
Self-Determination needs, autonomy, competence, relatedness, as a met-to-frustrated level. The one layer meant to change over time, so it is the hook for an ongoing companion. Grows as a full ovoid body, fused at Conscientiousness.
Each factor has its own colour and a friendly name. Your strongest factor lights up brightest and washes its hue across the whole mark; the second factor is the shade.
This is what makes it a signature and not a chart. The shape does not just record six values, it records how they sit against each other.
The six factors sit at fixed clock angles around the centre (H -90°, E -30°, X 30°, A 90°, C 150°, O 210°). Each vertex is pushed out from the centre by its score (radius = 0.5 + score / 100) and the six points are joined into one closed, smooth silhouette with a Catmull-Rom spline. The relationship is visible in the outline itself: two high factors next to each other bulge into one lobe, while a high factor beside a low one makes the curve pinch. That bulge and pinch is an honest geometric effect of the differing radii on a smooth closed curve, so the tension between your dimensions is something you can see.
A paid part does not float beside the core. It fuses at the pointer node of the HEXACO factor it is most psychologically entwined with, so the deeper layer grows out of the trait it relates to.
Each part has its own silhouette so they read apart: connection is an embrace, drive a flame, values a three-petal bloom, needs a full ovoid. Each part's reach scales with its entwined factor's score (reach = 0.85 + score / 100 × 0.85), and a minimum-size floor is baked in so a very low score still leaves a legible part instead of vanishing.
Between two present parts whose underlying constructs genuinely correlate, a soft membrane is drawn through the core, with opacity and thickness scaled by the strength. A tie is only drawn above a 0.40 threshold. This is the heart of "constructed relationally": the parts are bound by the actual (designed) relationships between the constructs, not a bouquet of separate icons.
Strengths are the model's current designed matrix, pending validation. The attachment-to-values pair sits below the 0.40 threshold, so no membrane is drawn between those two.
As each part attaches, the engine recomputes the bounding box of the whole body and re-fits it to the frame. The practical effect is that the core glides off dead-centre as mass is added on one side, giving the finished mark a living, human asymmetry instead of a balanced logo.
Growth is a single animated value. A target says how many parts to show, from zero (core only) to four (full body). The drawn amount eases toward that target, so a new part eases out from its attach node while the core re-centres and any new membranes fade in at their correlation strength. Because the mark is deterministic, the same scores always grow into the same signature, which is what lets the finished parameter set become the signature DNA that Phase 2 reads to grow the avatar.
Once all the layers exist, the signature has a full parameter set, a short string of numbers and labels. The numbers are the genotype, the mark is the first phenotype, and the avatar is the second phenotype, grown from the same genome by a fixed translation so it always feels like the same person expressed two ways. Trait shape becomes form and posture, the connection layer becomes relational warmth, drive becomes lighting and motion, values become palette, needs become setting.
Privacy is built in. The public, shareable still is drawn from bands (low, mid, high), never exact scores, and exported as a flat image, so it cannot be read back into a precise profile. A per-person seed means two identical profiles never render the same. The exact-score, breathing version stays private. Client-side rendering only raises the bar; true non-invertibility keeps the raw numbers server-side in the real product.
